Optional standard 2-wire adapter for phones with tone dialing (DECT radio-telephone, other
telephone set, auto answering phones, PBX etc.). Connection of SAT551 to the DECT phones
with multiple handsets allows to make connections between DECT sets (free of charge) and
through Globalstar link (charged by GlobalTel rate) in an area of DECT service including
interior of building.

DT 550 adapter supports asynchronous data transmission, Internet access and all variety of data
transmission services offered by GlobalTel. It's connected (before this DT 550 adapter and Cradle designs
should be updated in GlobalTel Service Center) to the PC through the external car-kit connector or directly
to the SAT 550 user terminal through its standard connector. For correct operation only one of the
aforementioned adapters can be connected to the cradle. To change one adapter to another during
operation it's needed to switch off UT SAT550 (power knob) first, then connect new adapter to corresponding
connector and switch UT again.

Dispatch monitoring application (with UT Telit SAT550) by means of SMS and modem AT
commands through RS232 GSM interface (ETSI GSM 07.07., ETSI GSM 07.05) and supplementary
Globalstar AT commands.

SAT551 car kit together with DT 550 data adapter and 2-wire phone adapter can operate in
Globalstar and cellular GSM modes (when equipped with corresponding antenna). The operations with
GlobalTel or GSM service provider SIM card both are possible.
Cellular antenna connector of SAT551 allows to attach (through appropriate adapter) any car
cellular antenna available on the market. The relevant information on the adapter type for specific
antenna can be obtained from GlobalTel.
