Multi-channel satellite modems GSP1620x4 and GSP1620x8 are intended for data transmission
with 9.6 kbit/sec rate per channel. Modem functionality is based on the known patented
CDMA technology of QUALCOMM and constellation of 48 Globalstar LEO satellite.
The satellite modems provide full duplex 4 (8) communication channels to the ground based,
marine and avionics communication equipment or same modems (2-hops).

Operational features:
Modems GSP1620È4 (8) can be used for multi-channel monitoring/ control of distant facilities
(SCADA applications) in communication systems, power stations, petroleum and gas production,
in systems of multi channel access in faraway territories, telemetry, various network
applications to join the remote LAN and creation of common information networks with
"Star" - type topology. Besides this 1620È4 (8) modems gives a number of advantages to
the final user:
- tariffing is carrying out separately in each channel taking into account the actual
throughput of traffic;
- when connected to single personal computer in remote built-up area it is appeared as
the 4/ 8 channel wireless modem pool with 9.6 Kbit/s data rate in each channel;
- GlobalTel Asynchronous Data Service Pack maintained for each channel;
- installation of outdoor antenna unit on the distance up to 30 m from the
transceivers unit;
- full RS232 interface with V.32bis and áô-commands support (telephone modem emulation)
over the USB bus;
- data transmission by means of standard applications for Windows, MacOS,
PalmOS does not require dedicated software except USB driver for Edgeport multiuplexer;
- does not require routine maintenance and antenna pointing (omni directional antenna);
Design & Peculiarities:
The modem consists of:
- transceiver unit (TU), includes 4 or 8 standard GSP1620 modems, can be
installed in unheated rooms;
- outdoor unit (ODU) is an assembly of dielectric antenna, low noise input amplifier,
output power amplifier and power supply. The assembly is manufactured as dust-tight and
water proof envelope.
Multichannel modems GSP 1620x4 x8 have GOST-R and SARS certificates of RF.
