DT550 Data Adapter enables to connect your mobile phone Globalstar/GSM Telit SAT550 to
the personal computer (PC) COM-port and to transmit data with 9.6 Kbit/s rate in satellite
(Globalstar) mode as well as in GSM-900 mode.
Telit Sat 550 phone together with DT550 adapter is appeared for users like external modem
of their PC.
In case of the internal battery low charge DT550 adapter can be powered from the Telit
standard external power supply.
Data transmission service through DT550 data adapter became accessible after installing
of the corresponding driver on your PC platform with MS Windows 98/NT/2000 operating
systems.
Additional offers:
It is possible to update the initial design of DT550 adapter in GlobalTel Service
Center (Moscow) to provide connection of PC COM-port to SAT551 car-kit, SAT550X, SAT550XF marine
kit and to Telit SAT550 user terminal. Asynchronous data transmission with the rate
of 9.6 Kbit/s and other data services ("mobile Internet", e-mail, FAX-mail (incoming)
and FTP-server) in satellite (Globalstar) and GSM cellular networks are supported
after this modification.
For the modified DT550 data adapter:
all functions of updated DT550 adapter are retained when functioning
directly through SAT550 user terminal;
DT550 updated adapter has three cable connections:
- to PC COM-port (DB9F connector);
- to SAT551 (SAT550X, SAT550XF) (DB9M connector);
- to SAT550 user terminal (specific "Telit type connector").

Upgraded DT550 adapters are supplied together with modified set of SAT550, SAT550X, SAT550XF kits for asynchronous data transmission.
Currently in use subscriber's equipment (DT550, SAT551, SAT550X, SAT550XF) can be upgraded in
GlobalTel Service Center under separate order.
