ZAO GlobalTel, OOO Vizcom and OTIK-Internet have successfully tested the set of mobile asymmetrical Internet access and telematic services. The set included a gyrostabilized antenna with automatic tracking of the geostationary satellite, DVB-S receiver, GCK-1410 car kit with Globalstar GSP 1600 handset.

The test was conducted on Moscow - St. Petersburg - Vyborg highway. Subscribers in the car moving at the speed of up to 120 km/hour were using about 50 TV programms, Internet with the download rate of 56-300 kbps, phone communications and other communications services. The asynchronous data mode with 123 GlobalTel dial-up access code and reception from the EutelsatW4 satellite were used. The set was configured for work with EutelsatW4 and Bonum1 satellites with circular polarization in Ku band.

The equipment is intended for usage in mobile and stationary locations - auto transport, trains, vessels, remote locations like drilling platforms etc. in Russia, CIS and some East European countries. The start of the sets sale is planned for 4Q 2004.
