On May 10 - June 30, 2002 motor relay-race devoted to the 200 anniversary of the Russia's Interior Ministry is held. Its motto is "My militia: from boarder to boarder". The opening ceremony and start took place in St. Petersbourg on May 12. The length of the route from St. Petersbourg to Vladivostok is more than 11 thousand km. During 40 days the participants will visit 27 regions of Russia where they will have meetings with Interior Ministry officials and public. The purpose of the motor race is propaganda of the Russia's militia activities and support to the Interior Ministry departments in Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories. CJSC GlobalTel sponsors the motor rally by providing to its participants high quality and reliable Globalstar satellite communications. The cars have been equipped with Globalstar portable GSP 1600 user terminal and GCK1410 Qualcomm-manufactured car kit, which ensure communication all along the rally's route. Equipping quick-reaction Interior units with Globalstar UTs will be one of the positive outcomes of using the Globalstar satellite communications. The motor rally developments are covered by Russian TV and Radio (RTR) crew enrolled in the team throughout its entire route as well as by departmental mass media: "Schit and Mech" newspaper, "Militsia" and "Okhrana" magazines, "Dejurnaia Chast" and "Petrovke,38" TV programmes . En route the participants will have meetings with Heads of Administrations and regional and central mass media.
